About the author

Asher Rowan is an indie author of contemporary LGBTQ+ fiction that explores desire, identity, relationships, found family, and the beautifully messy process of figuring out what we truly want. His debut novel, Learning Want, is the first installment of The Want Series, a four-book journey following Alex through self-discovery, intimacy, friendship, complicated relationships, questionable decisions, and the unexpected consequences of finally admitting what he wants. Book Two, Is Want Enough?, continues Alex’s story and is coming Fall 2026. Asher’s writing is grounded in the belief that people are rarely as simple as the choices they make. His stories embrace imperfect characters, deep connections, humor, heat, vulnerability, and the moments that force us to rediscover pieces of ourselves we may have forgotten along the way. Through Ash Glen Press, Asher is building stories that invite readers to get a little lost, feel something real, and perhaps recognize a piece of themselves somewhere in the mess. When he isn’t writing, Asher can usually be found thinking about whatever character, scene, or completely unnecessary side story has taken over his brain that day.
