About the book

When a girl is snatched in front of Debra and her Sisters, a quiet holiday in Thailand erupts into a fight for justice. Fear ignites into fury, and these women are not backing down. Through the crowded streets of Bangkok’s Chatuchak Market, they hunt the kidnappers without mercy. Their target? One of Thailand’s most ruthless trafficking rings. Every second counts, every choice could mean life or death. And the stakes are heartbreakingly personal. Armed with courage, grit, and an unyielding sense of justice, they will stop at nothing to dismantle the operation, and rescue the kidnapped girl before she vanishes forever into the shadows of trafficking. "Lethal Business" is a nerve-fraying thriller in the Vigilante Justice Series, a gripping 30-page introduction to the saga. This one jumps straight into the action! I was pulled into the story immediately as Debra and her sisters find themselves chasing down the men who have taken a child in a Bangkok market. The action scenes were fast paced and easy to follow but what really stood out to me was the relationship between the sisters. Their shared history gives the story so much more emotional depth and you can really feel how much they care about each other. I also loved the smaller human moments throughout the action, especially when a passing couple helps translate for the frightened little girl. It was such a simple moment, but it added heart to an otherwise intense story. There is plenty of violence and some very difficult subject matter, but if you enjoy action packed stories with strong family connections and plenty of suspense, this is definitely worth picking up. I was left wanting to know what happens next!
